Full Professor at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, (INALCO), Eurasian Department, Paris from 2002, History and Civilization of Central Asia. Has conducted  fields researches in Central Asia since 1979, teaching history of Central Asia at INALCO from 1982 to 2016. She has published more than 120 articles, chapters and books on Central Asia. From 2014 to 2018, Chief Project for Sorbonne Paris City, for the project Institute Sorbonne Kazakhstan in Almaty
