“EURASIAN INSIGHTS: Past, current and upcoming dynamics in the Central Asian region, and their (possible) impacts for Europe
This three-day international conference will be hosted from 22 to 24 September 2021 by the University of Ghent on location in Ghent (Gent), Belgium. This event is funded by the European Union Erasmus+ program, through the EISCAS project.
The call for papers, program and registration form can be found here. (call now closed)
This conference is the main dissemination event of EISCAS and aims to gather scholars and experts from all over Europe and beyond to ponder future developments in Central Asia as well as in what directions the study field is going.
With the presentation of introductory scientific papers, scholars will highlight the importance of CA for the EU and Eurasia in general, and make predictions on how its role and cooperation with the EU will evolve by 2050
Another aim of this event is to put the handbook in the global and especially European spotlight for all those end-users working on CA. This event will be a unique opportunity for EISCAS to present our multidisciplinary handbook, its additional features like online lectures and its user-guide with teaching methods. The conference will thus also offer seminars with strategies for curriculum designers and workshops for teachers to use these new didactic materials to transform CAS in the EU. There will be no registration fee for participants. The conference will be open to scholars, students, experts and other stakeholders working on or interested in Central Asia. Advance online registration is required.
